   For the first time, I heard the sound of ice forming, or of water adjusting to the ice forming…a wild windy sound, like a beast under the water whipping or lashing its tail against the underside…coupled with a very humorous deep, watery, bubbly grumble or gurgle. Perhaps the beast had indigestion…such a wonder to listen to it.
