Note: The time of Iris blooms is nearly done. In fertile southern Wisconsin the Iris dance in sunlight and the intensity of spring. In the high desert Irises, especially a profusion of Irises, is a miracle.

Iris in the desert, I was thinking exactly what you wrote, a miracle. Did you plant them, those gorgeous purple & blue hued beauties?

I love irises and these are so beautiful. (My mom once had a huge garden with many varieties – they’re a lot of work, but so worth it!)

So wonderful to enjoy these again! My own irises here in NW Alabama bloomed out two months ago because we had no real winter here and a HOT, HOT March!
